Lietuvos laikinojoje vyriausybėje, arba viešai paneigti centro paskelbtus veiksmus, iškraipant faktus ir piktnaudžiaujant JAV Kongreso dokumentais, kai jūsų vyriausybė stengėsi išryškinti Holokausto istoriją Lietuvoje. A Wine Journey in Italy with the book “Andare per vini e vitigni” by Patrizia Passerini In 1353 the charming estate, already famous for the quality of its vineyards, was bought by Pietro Alighieri, son of Dante Alighieri, the famous Italian Poet, who had followed his father in exile in Verona. Since twenty-one generations the descendants of the Supreme Poet live in the Villa, a reference point for the viticulture of Valpolicella. Here Masi winery shares its great love for the land with Conti Serego Alighieri, collaborating with them in the production of prestigious wines, heirs of an ancient, noble and wise enological tradition. Tenuta Serego Alighieri is today one of the most prestigious historical Venetian estates. Facing the courtyard with its vines is the historic drying loft for “Appassimento”,the traditional method used in the Venetian regions to concentrate aromas and perfumes in wines. Two prestigious cru wines are made at Villa Serego Alighieri: Vaio Armaron Amarone, which was classed as one of the ten best wines of the world, and Casal Dei Ronchi Recioto. Today, the estate is open to visitors, displaying the soul of the Valpolicella region and its unique traditions. I’m the author of the book “Andare per Vini e Vitigni” (“Going through wine and vines”), which is part of a series called "Ritrovare l'Italia" (“Finding out Italy”) by Il Mulino publishing house. The book comes from the idea that Italy has a very strong and multifaceted cultural identity, which is the result of its complex historical past, also considering the theme of wine. It wants to be a story that unfolds its patterns around places (and therefore itineraries), visible but often flattened to icons without context, and around different times, through the centuries. Andare per Vini e Vitigni is a historical journey in the culture of Italian wine, as different kind of vines, different cultivation processes and winemaking techniques are often the result of the past and people who inhabited the peninsula. The book is a "Grand Tour of Italy", a journey from the south to the north of Italy to find out some of the oldest vines still cultivated today, connecting archeology, history, myths, literature and classical authors (such as Pliny the Elder, Virgil, Horace, Ovid), art and nature. Through the Greeks, the Etruscans, the Romans, the Middle Ages of Dante, the Renaissance Palaces and the eighteenth-century villas, you discover the beauty of vineyards surrounded by woods, vineyards that embrace temples, abbeys, castles, vineyards that stretch on the slopes of a volcano, which climb over impervious mountains or overlooking the sea. Following this itinerary we arrive at the present, finding out wines that derive from ancient vines with their specific characteristics today. It is a way to travel and discover the extraordinary beauty of Italy, which the ancients called "Enotria", meaning "land of wine" because of the ease with which the vine in Magna Graecia grew. It is a book not only for wine lovers, but also for lovers of culture, art and literature.

The vineyards of Quinta de Marrocos stretch up to 180 m above sea level on terraces supported by stone walls. The location in the north is one of the key points for smooth ripening of the grapes: if the altitude gives rise to high temperatures, the river breeze cools the vineyards at night. All work is done by hand, this is a centuries-old heritage that has been preserved taking into account the age of the varieties and the quality of the grapes. This type of vineyard is characterized by low yields without irrigation on shale soils with low fertility and slightly acidic pH. Over the years, the vineyards have acquired a natural balance: "they produce what they can, not what they want." With a vines age of over 100 years and a density of over 8000 plants per hectare. More than 50 noble and ancient Douro grape varieties coexist here. Guarded by its emblematic twin trees, the Quinta de Marrocos is one of the oldest Quintas in the Douro. С годами виноградники приобрели естественный баланс: «они производят то, что могут, а не то, что хотят». С возрастом лозы более 100 лет и густотой более 8000 растений на гектар. Здесь сосуществуют более 50 благородных и старинных сортов винограда Дору. Отель Quinta de Marrocos, охраняемый своими символическими деревьями-близнецами , является одним из старейших Quintas в Дору. Он расположен на левом берегу реки Дору , в Байшу-Корго, откуда входил разграниченный регион портвейна.
